Wallace PM has been appointed as the Tenant Advocate on behalf of Coles Property for the design and construction of their expanded freezer and produce facilities at the existing Distribution Centre located in Kewdale.
Coles is seeking to expand their existing Distribution Centre in Perth to include a new 10,500sqm high bay freezer facility with associated recessed loading docks, hardstand and external circulation spaces, office, ambient MHE charging and plantrooms.
In addition to this, the existing freezer chamber within the main DC facility will be reconfigured into two produce chambers, 4 and 14 degree) as well as refurbishment of the existing loading dock areas and the addition of a new truck washing area.
The project sits within the Perth Airport industrial precinct and has the added challenge of being constructed within a live operating environment.
Wallace PM’s role involves development of the Principal’s Project Requirements which will form the basis of the design as well as oversee the design development and be the day to day contact during the construction phases to ensure a seamless and safe transition to the new facilities.
